I am Dr Kevin Foo, an ophthalmologist. I am based in Kew, Victoria. I’ve been looking after people’s eyes for more than 38 years, and I still find it a privilege every time someone trusts me with their sight.

I graduated with my MBBS in 1987 and went on to complete my specialist training in ophthalmology, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) in 1997. That fellowship marked the start of a career that has centred on cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and glaucoma care.

At Kew Eye Clinic on High Street South, my team and I see patients for everything from routine check-ups to complex surgical cases. I perform small-incision cataract surgery with modern lens implants, and I offer laser vision correction when it’s the right fit. My approach has always been the same: listen properly, examine thoroughly, explain things plainly, and only recommend treatment that is genuinely needed. I can speak English and Mandarin. This helps when patients prefer to discuss their concerns in their first language.
